A Typical Day on the Snow Goose

Each day is scheduled and filled with as much or as little as you like. There is plenty to do so if you are inclined you can leave the boat and go ashore several times a day to walk the beach and trails in the Tongass National Forest. Moments of self-discovery are found exploring a beautiful creek, or quietly paddling a kayak. Every night we stop in a new and secluded anchorage.

Morning – Early birds join the naturalist in kayaking or skiffing to shore to watch and listen for birds. After breakfast we gather on deck watching for flocks of birds and marine mammals as we cruise surrounded by the magnificent scenery of Alaska.

Afternoon – After lunch we explore the forest or beach trails of the Tongass National forest learning about intertidal life, native plants or local wildlife before motoring to our evening anchorage in some remote cove.

Evening – At anchor there is time before dinner for kayaking, exploring on shore, reading or relaxing in your favorite deck chair. After a sumptuous meal, the naturalist and skipper review the day and we may watch an Alaskan slide show, kayak or photograph a sunset before turning in for the night.
